Specializing in powerboat marine surveys.

An Array of Options
Our comprehensive suite of professional services starts at $250. The total cost will depend on the choice of survey, travel, boat size, systems, and time needed.
Pre-Purchase Survey
This is a pre-purchase condition & value survey conducted before buying a new or used boat. A marine surveyor, hired by the buyer, works to limit their risk. The survey estimates the vessel’s Fair Market Value (FMV) to ensure a fair price and assesses its condition and replacement cost. Always make a purchase agreement contingent upon a satisfactory Marine Survey. This type of survey is required prior to any sea trial.
Ownership Survey
This inspection is designed for boat owners. It provides crucial insights into the boat’s systems and structure, making it ideal for new owners or long-term ones. This is for the owner who has become blind to their boats’ faults or need a list of appropriate repairs for an upcoming haul-out.
Pre-listing Survey
This is a full report generated just for you to be able to bring your vessel up to top condition prior to listing the vessel for sale. If you are not looking for surprises during the sale process this pre-listing survey is right for you. A pre-listing survey report can help justify the asking price by providing evidence of the boat’s condition. Addressing issues upfront can minimize time spent on negotiations related to repairs or deficiencies
Acceptance survey
Acceptance surveys are performed after a boat undergoes a major refit or is delivered by the factory. The surveyor inspects the completed work according to the standards, rules, and regulations, and also checks the status of equipment and the presence of safety gear.
Sea Trial
A sea trial is essential for a condition and value survey, but may be impossible due to circumstances like launch date restrictions. It can be arranged separately or requested by the customer as a limited-scope survey, covering the boat’s power-train performance, navigation electronics, and other equipment that requires testing underway. A pre-purchase, pre-listing or insurance survey is required prior to any sea trial survey.
Location & Territory
Located within the Seacoast of New Hampshire, Marine Tech Survey can travel to most of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts.
